Position Summary
This Pharmacologist position (Series 0405) is filled under Title 21 hiring authority, Title 21 Pay Table 2, Band C ($121,785 - $191,352). The selected candidate will serve under a career or career‑conditional appointment.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and advise on the history, sources, physical and chemical properties, biochemical, toxic and physiological effects, mechanisms of action, absorption, distribution, metabolism, biotransformation and excretion, and therapeutic and other uses of drugs, as well as modern pharmacological techniques.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in toxicology, pharmacology, environmental sciences, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or related sciences from an accredited program, or an American Board of Toxicology Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of comparable experience analyzing and advising on drug properties and pharmacology.
- Master’s degree and 3 years of comparable experience analyzing and advising on drug properties and pharmacology.
- Doctorate or JD and 1 year of comparable experience analyzing and advising on drug properties and pharmacology.
- MD, DO, DDS, DPM, or DVM degree, or equivalent.
- Six (6) years of comparable experience analyzing and advising on drug properties and pharmacology.
