The Journeyperson installs, tests, repairs, and maintains electrical systems, equipment, and appliances according to standard practice of the trade, safety regulations set by state and local governments, and required codes and standards. The role also involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment used in Plant Operations.
Responsibilities- Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and appliances.
- Install, repair, and maintain electronic equipment used in areas of Plant Operations.
- Read, understand, and interpret blueprints.
- Operate and manipulate systems computers.
- Work weekend and shift rotations as required.
- Commercial Journeyman License (Current)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical school certification with courses in electricity, electronics, motor control and operation, control wiring, electronic circuitry, basic computer skills, and mathematics.
- Minimum of four (4) years experience working as an electrician apprentice, journeyman, electrician, or electronics technician.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Good knowledge of codes and standards required to perform work.
- Proficiency in understanding and manipulating systems computers.
$28.00 - $43.40 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
