Position OverviewAs an experienced Equipment Operator, you will receive paid on‑the‑job training and operate heavy equipment to move earth, tools, and materials between job sites. Under the supervision of a Foreman, you will work with a crew to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do- Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, trenchers, pavers, dozers, milling saws, road graders, hydro‑excavators, track hoes and more.
- Load and unload equipment and materials.
- Perform daily pre‑shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain all industry‑required operator qualifications.
- Perform other tasks as directed by leadership.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 1+ year experience safely operating equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities.

- All safety instructions are written and spoken in English; fluency in English is required.
- Tasks include lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling; up to 50 lbs may be lifted.
- Operations occur within the “red zone” of heavy equipment.
- Safe work requires quick, accurate hand‑eye coordination and constant vigilance.
- Pass pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
- Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E‑Verify.
- Satisfy pre‑employment background check results.
- Maintain a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license.
- Pass a pre‑employment medical fit‑for‑duty test and obtain a DOT medical card.
- Join and maintain Union membership.
