This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
Major Duties- Serve as Division Chief providing oversight of administrative programs and operations.
- Develop policies and guidance for program and administrative personnel.
- Conduct short and long‑range planning to support programmatic goals and objectives.
- Develop, deliver and manage a wide array of customer-focused administrative services.
- Manage all phases of the budget process, including planning, formulation, execution and presentation.
- Serve as financial advisor to management.
- Provide oversight and administration of policies regarding grants, cooperative agreements and financial assistance programs.
- Oversee work of subordinates.
- Provide technical oversight and instruction.
- Develop employee goals and training needs.
- Resolve grievances and complaints, and initiate disciplinary action.
