We are hiring a Junior Web Developer for a full‑time hybrid position located in Silver Spring, MD.
Roles & Responsibilities- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal web applications.
- Support the development team in full stack coding, testing, and debugging as needed.
- Contribute to responsive web design efforts that enhance user experience across all devices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and enhance existing applications.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
- Document processes, code, and methodologies to maintain project transparency.
- Stay informed on current industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- At least 1‑2 years of web development experience.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
- Basic understanding of front‑end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- Understanding of SQL queries.
- Understanding of Software Development Life‑cycle.
- Ability to use SVN (or knowledge of GIT for version control).
- Understanding of Java applications for support and interface.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Able to operate in a Linux environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
- Good communication skills and an eagerness to receive feedback.
