Software Engineer in Laurel, MD. Security
Clearance Required:
TS/SCI w/ Polygraph. Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000, depending on experience.
The Software Engineer will support the Software Management Team. They will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing‑intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, realtime systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. They will work individually or as part of a team, review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements, document test results, resolve software problem reports, and utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies.
They will also provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirement analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience coding in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other languages)
- IAT Level 2 Certification required at start date
- Four (4) years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery is required
- Two (2) years experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog
- A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Four (4) years of equivalent experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree for a total of eight (8) years of experience
