Part Time CDL Driver

Overview

Now Hiring Part-Time Transit Bus Driver with Articulating experience in Rockville, MD - Serving Montgomery County Bus Lanes. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced CDL Driver to join our team in Rockville, MD. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.00 – maximum $22.00
• Following the successful completion of the 90-day probationary period, employees may be eligible for a wage increase.
• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

• Safely transports buses
• Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Move buses/articulating buses from one location to another

• Good verbal communication skills
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
• Active CDL
• Experience with articulating buses
• Subject to a drug screen and physical
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possibly sloped ground or slippery surfaces
• Push and pull objects; lift up to 50 lbs; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching
• Withstand heavy traffic areas; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise
