Role Overview
Amazon is hiring a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Silver Spring, MD. This full‑time position offers a salary range of $44,000 to $53,000 per year. The role requires operating high‑reach industrial trucks and maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities- Operate wire‑guided Turret Trucks and Stand‑Up Reach Trucks to move bulk inventory from high‑reserve storage to lower bins.
- Use Order Pickers (Cherry Pickers) to hand‑pick large, non‑sortable items at altitude, wearing a full‑body safety harness.
- Perform a comprehensive 20‑point mechanical inspection before use, logging battery, hydraulic fluid, and harness integrity.
- Maintain flawless safety record through continuous training and audits.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong respect for safety protocols and ability to comply with Amazon’s safety training and certification.
- Prior experience operating powered industrial trucks or willingness to complete on‑site certification.
