Job Summary
The Logistics Driver is a key member of Manna’s Logistics within the Operations team, responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of food and related goods. This position supports both pickups and distribution, ensuring that food donations are collected from partners and distributed to participants and partners according to established schedules and priorities. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Logistics Driver will assist with warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities- Follow the driving schedule assigned by the Senior Manager of Logistics.
- Perform other driving or warehousing-related duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the Logistics Team.
- Safely operate the assigned Manna’s vehicle to complete any scheduled pickups of food as assigned, including loading and unloading vehicles by using pallet jacks.
- Safely operate assigned Manna’s vehicle to complete any scheduled food distribution, including home deliveries, ensuring proper loading and unloading vehicles by using pallet jacks.
- Act as the on-site lead during food distributions, providing direction to volunteers and staff, ensuring proper setup and flow of operations, and maintaining safety and food handling standards.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspection of van or truck, including routine checks and report any maintenance issues to the Senior Manager of Logistics.
- Perform daily maintenance of truck, such as refueling and cleaning.
- Support the Logistics Team with daily warehousing tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events and distributions.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while driving and handling food products.
- Work collaboratively with team members and volunteers to ensure a safety-first approach when driving and/or participating in warehousing duties.

- Valid driver’s license and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). card with the proven ability to drive any Manna vehicle (box truck, van, etc.).
- Clean driving record with no moving violations in the past two years and no major violations in the past ten years. No DUI citations.
- Ability to pass and maintain the Maryland (MD) Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT card).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to lift objects of 50 pounds continually and up to 100 pounds waist high occasionally, and load them into vehicles.
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to treat all participants with dignity and respectfully manage difficult and/or challenging situations.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment such as the restaurant or food service industry, social service, or retail.
- Strong ability to multitask and effectively manage diverse, concurrent responsibilities.
- Excellent logistical and organizational skills.
- Eligible to be insured under Manna’s vehicle insurance policy.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.
