Job Opportunity in Sparks, MD
Join our dynamic team in Sparks, MD, where you'll be part of a thriving warehouse operation. We are seeking dedicated individuals to ensure the safe, accurate loading and unloading of products within our distribution center. This role offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule6:00am-2:30pm with opportunities for overtime.
Duties and Responsibilities- Pallet/Case Picking:
- Process customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking, and labeling boxes.
- Pick, pack, and process orders using RF technology.
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
- Complete necessary RF device training to obtain required profiles.
- Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging.
- Pallet Build:
- Palletize by scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.
- Re-palletize products for shipment.
- May handle dock manifest duties, including scanning pallets and operating the shrink wrapper.
- Transport pallets using Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging.
- Inbound/Outbound/Inventory Movement:
- Load/unload shipments using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Ensure safe loading/off-loading of pallets to prevent damages.
- Complete all duties timely, adhering to department standards and procedures.
- May operate the parcel manifest station and manage transportation documentation.
- Maintain an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
- Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
- Adhere to all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain current status in C2C training modules.
- Verify accuracy and ensure proper shipment packaging.
- Material Handling Equipment:
- Operate equipment safely; report any damage/maintenance issues immediately.
- Keep equipment neat and orderly, complying with established procedures.
- Maintain equipment certification at all times.
- Safety and Security:
- Perform job activities in a safe manner, adhering to safety requirements.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security and promote a safe environment.
- Report all injuries, accidents, unsafe acts, hazards, or conditions immediately.
- Report any suspicious persons or activity.
- Quality:
- Understand organizational quality goals.
- Sanitation and Housekeeping:
- Maintain a clean and professional image.
- Ensure facility cleanliness by following outlined guidelines.
- Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly at all times.
- Hazmat Training:
- Receive training in general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training.
- Cross‑training:
- Become knowledgeable about other warehouse positions and assist as required.
- Act as a backup during absences or vacations.
- High School diploma, GED, or 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience with MHE, including Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance, and Dock Stocker.
- Must obtain Forklift Certification to meet client guidelines.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
- Ability to work well with others and under minimal supervision.
- May operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics‑driven environment.
- Basic analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- General distribution knowledge.
- Exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment.
