Role Description: The Parts Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is responsible for assisting customers and internal technicians in identifying, sourcing, and ordering the correct parts for forklifts and related material handling equipment. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing parts inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating with the service department, and maintaining accurate records in the parts system.
The Parts Specialist also supports inventory activities, such as receiving, stocking, and organizing parts, while ensuring a clean and efficient parts counter and storage area. The role involves regular interaction with customers, vendors, and team members to provide timely, professional, and knowledgeable service.
Qualifications
- Customer-focused skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to build positive relationships and handle inquiries professionally.
- Inventory-related skills, such as Inventory Management and Inventory Control, to maintain accurate stock levels and organized parts storage.
- Strong Communication skills to interact effectively with customers, technicians, and vendors, both in person and over the phone or email.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with forklifts or industrial equipment is beneficial.
- Experience in parts, retail, or dealership environments is preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including inventory or ERP software and standard office applications.
- Ability to work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD , with reliability in attendance and time management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or industry-related training is a plus.
