Join us as our next General Clerk here in Silverdale, WA at the Navy Exchange Service Command.

This role is a personable General Clerk who answers the call, is a team player, and supports the local Naval community and operational successes day‑to‑day.

• Screen telephone calls, make appointments, and provide general information.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, accounting documents, data processing printouts, etc.
• Perform receptionist duties: greet, log, and screen visitors; provide general organizational information; operate a telephone.
• Prepare routine reports requiring the gathering and compilation of information/data from departmental operating records, financial records, personnel records, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• One year of progressively responsible clerical or office work demonstrating satisfactory performance at the grade level of the position.
• Must pass an employment criminal background check.
• One to two years of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for six months up to one year of general experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must obtain a Secret Clearance within six months of appointment; failure to obtain will result in termination.
