Interior Designer

Spec Pro Sustainment and Environmental (SSE) is seeking an Interior Designer to support the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Northwest (NAVFAC Northwest), Planning Design and Construction Directorate, Design Division (PDC4) in Silverdale, WA.

The Interior Designer will provide design technical support for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects throughout the NAVFAC Northwest Area of Responsibility.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide interior design support for new construction and renovation projects.
• Develop room finish schedules, finish plans, finish boards, and furniture plans.
• Support best-value determinations and collateral equipment coordination.
• Develop and review designs using Revit and other applicable design software.
• Review designs, submittals, RFIs, technical reports, and other project deliverables.
• Coordinate with NAVFAC team members, project stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.

What You Bring:

Required:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing facilities interior design.
• Experience developing room finish schedules, finish plans, finish boards, and furniture plans.
• Experience with furniture planning, best-value determinations, and collateral equipment coordination.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to successfully complete required background and security screening.
• Completion of an Interior Design program accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) or an equivalent accreditation program required.
• NCIDQ certification or applicable state licensure, certification, or registration required.
• Must not be affiliated with a furniture dealership, vendor, or manufacturer.
• Minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience required.
