Engineering Technician

Duties

You will utilize in-depth knowledge of testing and evaluation in SSBN engineering/maintenance providing technical and test planning oversight.

You will serve as the technical expert in HME testing for availability certification.

You will be accountable for updating the Integrated Work Schedule to accurately reflect testing timelines based on system and/or components for all HME work.

You will have technical and management responsibility for all phases of Extended Refit Period (ERP) work in connection with ship's force testing of HME equipment for assigned maintenance periods.

You will assist ship's force in development of testing sequence; formal work procedures; planning, executing and assessing conventional tests using established criteria.

You will plan, coordinate and monitor test projects which will require significant timing modifications involving complex end of availability schedule.

You will assist ship's force with prioritizing testing, resolving conflicts; establishing testing schedules and briefing the IMF ERP Project Superintendent and Production Managers, ship, etc.

You will review planning documents produced by the Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical/Electronic planning codes for familiarity with all required retests and maintains an up-to-date Testing Matrix.
