Job Title
Oil and Hazardous Substances Contingency Planner
Job DescriptionYou will develop regional Oil and Hazardous Substances contingency plans, overseeing response and management of all OHS pollution incidents, developing and managing regional training plans, coordinating procurement of required response resources etc.
You will provide technical expertise in regional pollution contingency planning and response matters, as well as issues, policies, regulations, and procedures to promote compliance with water, hazardous waste and air emergency release management.
You will act as both the Region's Spill Response Manager and the primary Navy On-Scene Coordinator (NOSC) point of contact for the operational Navy and subordinate commands within the CNRNW AOR.
You will maintain liaison with environmental regulatory agencies to remain current on existing and proposed regulations.
You will perform reviews of regulatory submissions, results of regulatory inspections, and results of internal Navy environmental compliance evaluations.
You will lead, provide training, and coach/facilitate CNRNW's Spill Management Team.
