Job Details:

• Work in Cardiac Cath Lab Pre/Post Recovery unit with 23 total bays (16 beds and radial lounge with 7 recovery lounge chairs)

• Recovery unit operates Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM

• Common shifts available: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM

• Shifts are negotiable with options for 3/12s (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) or 4/10s (6:30 AM to 5:00 PM)

• Call requirement: 5-7 days per month by sign-up with 60-minute response time (30 minutes preferred)

• Call schedule:
Weekend days 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, weekend nights 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, weekdays 9:30 PM to 5:00 AM

• Handle approximately 30 cases per day including left and right heart catheterizations, complex PCI, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and peripheral vascular procedures

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS certification

• Washington state license or Compact license required

• Hospital-issued surgical attire provided

• Use EPIC charting system and PYXIS medication dispensing

• Less than one week orientation if competent

• No floating required unless emergency response needed

• Holidays on-call only, otherwise off

• Daily staffing includes 16 RNs in various shifts with 1 lead nurse

The facility provides comprehensive cardiac services with 24/7 cardiologist coverage, respiratory therapy support, and pharmacy services. The organization has expanded services and maintains a welcoming environment for traveling healthcare professionals, with support teams including SWAT IV team and code support available throughout the facility.
