RN - PCU Stepdown

• Work 12-hour shifts:
  Days 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement at minimum, with Saturday, Sunday, Monday having high needs
• Must work at least 1 major holiday during holiday season
• 6-week scheduling blocks to fill holes and needs
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for PCU level acuity
• No call or standby requirements
• Minimum 2 years PCU experience required
• Cardiac experience is mandatory
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIHSS, CRRN, PCCN preferred but not required)
• Must be able to titrate drips including nitroglycerin, heparin, cardizem, nicardipine, amiodarone, insulin, dopamine, esmolol, labetalol, milrinone, and argatroban
• Care for patients with TAVR, post-catheterization procedures, temporary/transvenous pacemakers, VATS, lobectomies, post-operative CABG patients, and thoracic procedures
• Responsible for reading and interpreting telemetry strips with offsite central monitoring support
• May float within skill set to 4th floor while maintaining PCU patient load
• Any professional color scrubs acceptable
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Orientation includes 8-hour EPIC class, 8-hour onboarding day, and 1 preceptor shift

• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

The unit maintains modern telemetry monitoring with both onsite nurses and offsite central monitoring support, ensuring high-quality cardiac care in an acute care setting.
