We are looking for you to join our team as a Technical Editor and Writer Level 3/4 based out of Merritt Island, FL. OR Silverdale, WA. OR Sunnyvale, CA. OR Kings Bay, GA. OR Ocean Springs, MS
. As a Technical Editor and Writer Level 3/4 at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the use of Model-based Engineering, Dev Sec Ops  and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.

• Write and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications.
• Communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
• Develop subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.
• Take strong ownership to drive documentation through process from inputs to final distribution.
• Lead preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
• Conduct quality review of materials.
• Develop new concepts, techniques, and standards.
• Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
• Support implementation to a team of technical writers and text processors.
• Serve as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
• Present to internal and external stakeholders at reviews/documentation conferences.
• Develop agendas and captures minutes to assess documentation impacts.

This requisition may be filled at Technical Editor and Writer Level 3 or a Technical Editor and Writer Level 4 based on qualifications listed below:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience. Additional 4 years’ experience may be accepted in lieu of a Degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience with publishing software.
• Experience with vector graphic designing applications (Illustrator preferred).
• Ability to meet deadlines and quality standards
