Compensation: $39.36 - $39.36 /hour

Tessera is seeking a skilled Control Systems Operator III to monitor, control, troubleshoot, and repair building automation and control systems at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. This role is critical to ensuring reliable facility operations, system efficiency, and compliance with safety and performance standards. The Control Systems Operator III will work closely with team members to implement system upgrades, monitor performance, and support energy-saving initiatives while providing technical guidance to staff.

Duties
  • Monitors and operates industrial control systems and related equipment.
  • Supports troubleshooting and resolving issues related to DDC Systems, including sensors, actuators, and controllers.
  • Assists in manipulating, controlling, and monitoring system conditions, supports maintenance, and performs point checks.
  • Reviews and analyzes control schematics, graphics, diagrams, and system documentation to aid in diagnostics and repairs.
  • Educates and trains staff on the operation of DDC systems.
  • Maintains accurate records of service performed, system changes, and inventory of parts.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during all operational procedures.
  • Monitors system performance and recommends energy‑saving upgrades or modifications.
  • Conducts routine monitoring and inspections on DDC systems to ensure accurate functionality and reliability.
  • This position may be subject to call-back availability based on operational needs.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma / GED is required;
    Associate degree preferred.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education allowed.
  • Experience with building automation systems, or related technology.
  • Basic understanding of control theory, HVAC systems, and energy management practices.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements
  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
  • Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL
