Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college and significant experience in production, planning, engineering, or other related experience, or equivalent experience combined with education.
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing the efforts of personnel in a lead or supervisory role.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
- Understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and demonstrated experience leading or supervising union represented hourly employees.
- Experience managing schedules and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to meet business objectives and driving actions to completion.
The D5 Missile Production Associate Manager is responsible for day-to-day production operations in Missile Body Operations (MBO) and leadership of assigned salaried and hourly represented personnel to ensure organizational goals and production milestones are accomplished safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Candidate will manage more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as assembly, disassembly, tool and die, packaging. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Candidate will be responsible for the safe accomplishment of assembly, disassembly, processing, testing and inspection of missile bodies, missile sections, and missile components for the Trident II D5 Weapon System. Candidate will ensure personnel adhere to safety, security, quality, high work ethics, and a teaming environment within the organization.
Other Job Duties Include participation in the preparation and presentation of proposals, business plans, operating budgets, and program metrics with colleagues, managers, and senior management. The goal of MBO Management is to ensure all milestones are met and monitor adherence to the master schedules, industrial support requirements plan, and program plans by identifying program problems and developing solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing requirements.
The candidate will be one of four managers working in MBO assigned to a specific building, with assignment to that building on a rotational basis. The candidate may be required to work swing shift when operational requirements necessitate. This Position requires
