Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider Opportunities in Washington (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

We seek experienced surgical Advanced Practice Providers - Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) - to join our well-established, cohesive surgical team.
Full-Time Opportunities Cardiac Surgery APP (Surgical)We are seeking PA/NP providers with previous cardiac and thoracic surgery experience to perform endoscopic vein harvest, cardiac surgery first assist, robotic thoracic surgery bedside first assist, and ICU/PCU/medical-surgical rounds.
Practice details:- Consistently achieve highest STS quality metrics – multiyear, multiple 3 Star
- Low PA/NP and surgeon turnover
- APP driven service – occasional general surgery resident rotations; no subspecialty specific residents of fellows
- Full spectrum conventional cardiac and thoracic surgery (except VAD, ECMO and transplant)
- Hospital based – OR, ICU, PCU, surgical units
- Single hospital practice
- Traditional sternotomy based cardiac surgeries
- Minimally invasive mitral valve surgery
- All lung resection surgeries performed with DaVinci XI robot
- Robotic foregut and esophagus
- APP driven service
- Endoscopic vein harvest highly preferred
- Open radial harvest – desired, but willing to train
- Robotic thoracic/cardiac surgery – desired, but willing to train
- ICU patient management experience – ventilator, drips, etc.
We are seeking a PA-C or ARNP with previous cardiac and thoracic surgery experience for this clinic based position with no surgical responsibilities.
Position details:- Post-op follow up with cardiac and thoracic patients
- Coordinate care from discharge to clinic visit
- Assist with rounding
- Consults with specialty care
- Daily review of clinic inbox
- Order preoperative studies and follow up
- Wound care
- Patient calls
- No Call
- No Weekends
- Monday - Friday;
Option of 4 or 5 days/week

- Hospital based – OR, ICU, PCU, surgical units
- Single hospital practice

- Current WA state license PA/NP (or ability to obtain)
- 1+ years APP cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
- CPR/BLS + ACLS – (or ability to obtain) - required
