Qualifications:
Clean malpractice/background highly preferred; self-query NPDB report required at presentation; local provider highly preferred (no flights)
- First‑assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, and lung resections.
- Manage pre‑ and post‑operative care in ICU and acute care inpatient units.
- Perform daily rounds on hospitalized surgical patients and provide necessary assessments and interventions.
- Provide limited outpatient clinic coverage (approximately 5% of time).
- Participate in call rotation (weeknight overnight call 5p–7a and weekend call) for emergent surgical consults and patient management.
