Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume birthing center environment averaging 150–180 births per month, caring for patients 33 weeks gestation and above
- Attend deliveries independently and circulate in C-section OR suites; assist with catching and transitioning newborns
- Titrate drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin per unit protocols
- Care for high-risk patients including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, and psychosocial complexities
- Function across Labor and Delivery and Postpartum, performing routine mother-baby couplet care and attending low-risk deliveries
- Document and monitor patients using the Centricity Perinatal EFM system; participate in block scheduling including every-other-weekend and rotating holiday requirements
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience (candidates with 1 year of experience may be considered with documented prior travel nursing experience)
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Demonstrated ability to attend deliveries independently and circulate in C-sections
- Competency in titrating drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin
- Ability to perform postpartum mother-baby couplet care and transition newborns
- Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification preferred
- Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and ratio standards
- Experience with Centricity Perinatal EFM documentation system
- Work in a well-supported unit with 24/7 in-house OB/hospitalist, neonatal nurse practitioner, OB anesthesia, and surgical tech coverage
- Scrubs and locker provided; structured orientation includes compliance training, an Epic class, and unit-specific shift orientation
