Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Med-Surg

Silverdale, WA

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekend rotation required

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Manage a patient population including CHF, diabetes, UTI, non-critical sepsis, hypertension, COPD, isolation precautions, end-of-life/palliative care, post-operative general surgery, and patients awaiting placement
• Titrate drips including Heparin and Cardizem (up to 10 mg/hr) as indicated by patient condition and physician orders
• Read and interpret telemetry strips in accordance with unit protocols
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including CPAP and BiPAP
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing demands

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to titrate Heparin and Cardizem drips
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry/cardiac monitor strips

• Prior experience in a Med-Surg or Telemetry unit setting
• Familiarity with end-of-life and palliative care patient populations
• Experience working alongside CNA and telemetry monitor technician support staff

• Work in a well-supported unit environment with Charge RN oversight, Nurse Aides, and Telemetry Monitor Technicians on staff
