Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Telemetry

Silverdale, WA

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Manage and titrate Heparin and Cardizem drips (Cardizem up to 10 mg/hr) per unit protocols
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as required
• Care for medical-surgical overflow patients including those with CHF, DM, UTI, non-critical sepsis, HTN, COPD, isolation precautions, end-of-life/palliative needs, post-operative general surgery, and patients awaiting placement
• Manage patients requiring CPAP and BiPAP respiratory support
• Float to other units as needed and fulfill weekend requirements based on unit demands

• Active Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Experience titrating drips, specifically Heparin and Cardizem
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

• Prior experience in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Familiarity with end-of-life and palliative care patient populations
• Experience working alongside Telemetry/Monitor Technicians and CNAs in a team-based care environment

• Work in a well-supported unit environment with Charge RN leadership, Monitor Techs, and CNA support on every shift
• Streamlined 2-shift unit orientation to get you acclimated and practicing confidently from the start
