Job Summary And Responsibilities
As our Inpatient Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider, you will join our collegial healthcare team in Silverdale hael Cancer Center. We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine. As part of our team, you will work alongside local and regional cancer care specialists, all dedicated to improving quality, enhancing patient experience, and advancing clinical standards for those we serve.
Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well‑being of patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient‑centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Work 8 hour or 10 hour shift on weekdays covering new consultations to oncology from ER and hospitalists and follow‑up with existing oncology inpatients hael Medical Center.
- Be comfortable seeing 10‑15 patients per shift.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of our patients.
- Provide ongoing management and follow‑up care for patients with a wide variety of hematology and oncology diseases.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
- Stay current with research and best practices in both Hematology and Oncology to provide evidence‑based care.
We are offering relocation assistance and up to a $20,000 starting bonus for experienced Hem/Onc Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants.
Qualifications- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current Washington State ARNP or PA license or active license prior to starting.
- One year of experience as an ARNP or Physician Assistant.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, patients and their families.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines.
- Hem/Onc experience.
- EPIC experience.
