Travel Nurse - RN - Labor and Delivery

Overview

The role involves providing comprehensive obstetric care as a Labor and Delivery RN, including assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams during labor, delivery, and postpartum. This position emphasizes patient education, preparing equipment, responding to emergencies, assisting in procedures, and documenting care accurately.

• Assess maternal and fetal health and respond to clinical changes during labor and postpartum.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications per protocol.
• Prepare equipment and maintain a sterile, safe environment for procedures.
• Collaborate with obstetric, anesthesia, neonatal, and nursing teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and discharge planning.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in procedures as needed.
• Document care accurately and promptly in the patient record.

• Recent experience in labor and delivery
• Valid RN license and current BLS and NRP certifications
• Preferred:
  Fetal monitoring, STABLE, and ACLS certifications

• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and assist with equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and follow protocols
