Security Officer – Part‑Time

The role of the Security Officer is to ensure a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors, staff, and property of CRISTA Shores. This is accomplished by conducting routine patrols, monitoring facilities, responding to incidents, and appropriately documenting actions during assigned shifts.
Essential Functions- Perform unassisted routine preventive maintenance, patrol and monitor campus grounds and buildings, complete physical security checks, log taking, and monitor alarm systems.
- Complete daily tasks such as transporting trash to the dumpster, vacuuming public areas, and setting up and tearing down seating in public areas.
- Monitor essential equipment and facilities, logging important information and responding to unusual readings in accordance with company policy.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies, contacting emergency responders and using first aid/CPR training; assist residents, staff and visitors in a calm and professional manner.
- Identify and respond to incidents, hazards and unauthorized activity, contact appropriate staff and take appropriate action following facility policies.
- Collaborate with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
- Committed Christian dedicated to continued spiritual growth (daily prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
- Prays for God's will in personal life and ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages ministry colleagues through prayer, devotionals, and spiritual practices.
- Affirms CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and CC Commitment.
- Conducts themselves in a manner reflecting well on CRISTA Ministries.
- Demonstrates CRISTA leadership values.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Six months in general security duties or related field.
- Current valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate with seniors in a positive and professional manner.
- Handles fast‑paced environment.
- Good judgment in responding to routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
- Able to give and follow written/verbal instructions.
- Safety and security conscience.
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and customers.
- Previous security or law enforcement experience, prior military service.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Military retiree.
