Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $55.95/hour

Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Install and program thermostats.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts.
  • Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and power sources.
  • Communicate directly with the customer, informing them of unexpected or additional repairs and determining their needs.
  • Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers.
  • Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
Qualifications
  • 0–3 years in HVAC.
  • VAC and/or EPA Certification required.
  • At least civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
  • Washington State EL‑06A electrical license.
Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities on a case‑by‑case basis.

  • Lift or move up to 70 pounds.
  • Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
  • Repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking; standing or sitting for several hours; climbing in and out of a vehicle; up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
