Tessera is seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and solution‑driven HVAC Mechanic Lead to support critical operations at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. This role calls for a professional who takes pride in precision work, thrives on complex problem‑solving, and consistently upholds the highest standards of safety and quality. As a trusted technical expert, you’ll lead field execution of advanced HVAC/R tasks, perform detailed inspections, and share your knowledge to elevate team performance.

- Install, diagnose, service, and repair HVAC systems and components.
- Lead, train, and mentor HVAC technicians; assign tasks and review work.
- Ensure safety procedures and quality control standards are followed.
- Communicate with schedulers, coordinators, and customers regarding work status and repairs.
- Complete required documentation using handheld devices for timekeeping, materials, and reports.
- Assist with inspections and provide technical guidance and advanced troubleshooting.
- High school Diploma/GED is required.
- 0–3 years’ experience in HVAC.
- Current Washington Journeyman Refrigeration certification required.
- Must have civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
- This position must meet all requirements and perform all duties of the HVAC I, HVAC II and HVAC III positions and have a minimum of one (1) additional year of applicable experience for a minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
- Washington State EL‑06A electrical license.

- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
