Full‑time. Compensation: $55.95 per hour.

The HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, diagnosis, service, and repair of environmental‑control heating and air‑conditioning systems across a variety of facilities. This role applies technical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and repairs, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards.
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Install and program thermostats.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and chassis parts.
- Connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and circulating ventilation fans to control panels and connect control panels to power source.
- Communicate and interact directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer.
- Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.
- 0–3 years of HVAC experience and VAC and/or EPA Certification required.
- Must have civilian or military trade school training or equivalent.
- Washington State EL‑06A electrical license.
Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: lift and/or move up to 70 pounds; reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours; climb in/out of a vehicle and up/down stairs; maintain confidentiality and standards. The physical demands may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities on a case‑by‑case basis.
RequirementsA valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance. Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL‑ driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL . Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
