Tessera is seeking an experienced and licensed Fire Suppression Technician. The Technician works under limited supervision, inspecting, testing, and maintaining complex water‑based systems, including AFFF deluge systems.

• Test and inspect building water‑based fire protection systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on fire protection systems, including AFFF Deluge, Low‑Expansion Foam, Pre‑Action, Dry, Water Mist, Water Spray, Pressure‑Reducing Valves, and fixtures.
• Assist in adjustment, repair, or replacement of leaky joints, pipes, valves, and other equipment to maintain proper operation of fire protection systems.
• Adjust, repair, or replace support systems such as compressors, nitrogen generators, and vacuum air systems, valves, and other associated components.
• Investigate and repair obstructions and impairments.
• Apply all NFPA and UFC code requirements during installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Operate and maintain Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) to perform required maintenance.
• Operate, clean, and maintain required tools and special equipment.
• Operate support equipment such as Self‑Propelled Boom Lifts.
• Ensure all requirements are met as specified by manufacturers.
• Ensure installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
• Ensure installations, repairs, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
• Availability for call‑back may be required based on operational needs.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years’ experience in fire protection technology or a related field preferred.
• NICET II certification required.
• Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certification required within 1 year; backflow specialty plumber (PL30) preferred.
• Knowledge of local fire codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Working knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices, and critical components.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturer technical manuals, lubrication instructions, and water schematics.

• Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for extended periods, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and stairs.
• Must work effectively under pressure for extended periods.

• A valid state driver's license required, with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL .
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access; background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
