• Perform roofing duties necessary to maintain industrial building roofs and new installations of various types and systems.
• Operate equipment including tar kettles, roof sweepers, cutting machines, torch equipment, standard measuring and testing equipment, power tools, and roofer hand tools.
• Plan and estimate tasks, select materials from blueprints and drawings, lay out job phasing.
• Remove snow, water, or debris from roofs before applying roofing materials.
• Inspect roofs to determine best repair procedures.
• Set up scaffolding for safe roof access.
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material type and dimensions.
• Ensure all roof repairs meet manufacturer specifications and approved materials.
• Communicate directly with customers and supervisors, informing customers of unexpected or additional repairs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure completed work meets quality control, safety procedures, policies, and OSHA standards/regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of roofing experience.
• Carroll or Carlisle Applicator Certification preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Familiarity with products and applications of different roofing materials.
• Ability to work at heights.

• Perform extended periods of activity with or without assistance.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours.
• Stair climbing and vehicle access.
• Work effectively under pressure for extended periods.

• Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
• REAL ‑compliant driver’s license, U.S. passport, or military  federal military installation access.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
• Background check and E‑Verify performed for this position.
