Job Summary
General Maintenance Worker (Laborer) – Silverdale, Washington (Bangor).
Type:
Non‑Exempt, Full‑time. Compensation: $25.26 − $25.25 per hour.
- Apply touch‑up paint, caulking, and replace floor or ceiling tiles.
- Replace electrical outlets, switch covers, and bulbs; repair or replace door hardware.
- Clean roof drains and gutters.
- Assist skilled workers with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or masonry work.
- Maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Communicate with customers and supervisors about repairs, needs, and status updates.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.
- Diagnose issues and suggest solutions and repairs.
- Coordinate with scheduler on repair status and estimated completion dates.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 0–3 years experience in general maintenance or a closely related field.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, including adverse weather conditions.
- Work in a variety of environments, including high places.
- Good manual dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, physical fitness, and balance.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to obtain security clearances if required.
- Lift or move up to 70 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motions for several hours.
- Climb in and out of vehicles, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
- Work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
