Compensation: $51.75/hr

- Perform maintenance of equipment including ARFF vehicles, Fire Apparatus vehicles, wheeled vehicles, track vehicles, engineer equipment, power generation, and material handling equipment.
- Accomplish minor repairs and perform services as outlined in established technical manuals and in accordance with NFPA standards.
- Perform inspection and repair on brakes, suspension, wheels, hubs, and steering systems in accordance with OEM recommendations and NFPA standards.
- Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring, and hydraulic schematics to ensure proper diagnosis and repair during annual services.
- Perform major repair jobs by disassembling, cleaning parts, removing components, and installing assemblies.
- Maintain Operational Vehicle Maintenance schedules.
- Responsible for various reports: schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, employee documentation, correct time‑keeping, and accident reports.
- Train employees on job tasks and assignments.
- Monitor employee performance.
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and demeanor.
- Coach, mentor, and resolve employee concerns.
- Record daily personnel attendance, track absences, and tardiness.
- Minimum of five (5) years of vehicle maintenance experience.
- ASE (T‑1 through T‑7 and L‑2) certification or the ability to obtain one.
- EVT (F‑1 through F‑6 and A‑1 through A‑3) Level III Fire Apparatus and ARFF vehicle technician certification or the ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand and use repetitive motion for several hours.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours; climbing in and out of a vehicle and stairs may also be required.
- Must persevere under pressure for extended periods.
- A valid state driver’s license is required; ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
