We are looking for an accounts payable specialist to support a busy onsite team in Silverton, Oregon. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who brings solid accounts payable experience, works carefully with financial details, and can keep payment activities moving on schedule. The position is part-time at 24 hours per week over three days, with required availability on Fridays to support weekly payment processing.

Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately, ensuring amounts, coding, and supporting details are correct before entry and payment.
• Review and assign proper account coding so expenses are recorded in the appropriate categories.
• Manage weekly payment preparation and complete check runs on schedule each Friday.
• Follow up consistently with internal approvers to obtain timely authorization for outstanding invoices.
• Communicate with team members and vendors to resolve discrepancies, missing information, or approval delays.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation for reference and audit readiness.
• Assist with accounts payable activities during an organizational transition in which payment processes are being handled by the corporate team.
• Use accounting tools such as Quick Books and related inventory or finance systems as needed, with training provided where appropriate.
