Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity dedicated to supporting students with specialized learning needs. Contribute meaningful expertise as a Special Education Teacher working onsite through June 5, 2026. Multiple openings are available to have an impact at both the elementary and middle school levels, offering a chance to make a profound difference for students with diverse abilities.
Positions include:
- Elementary Developmental classrooms (2 roles):
Foster growth and communication for 15 students in each setting, supported by a robust team of assistants-ideal for those skilled in navigating behavioral, ASD, and complex communication needs. - Elementary Behavior classroom:
Guide grades 3-5 students and collaborate with five assistants to enhance social-emotional and educational outcomes. - Middle School Resource role:
Serve approximately 40 students, sharing resources and support with two assistants to provide tailored instruction and advocacy. - Elementary Resource position:
Split your time between two close-knit sites, bringing consistent support to 35 students while collaborating with dedicated assistants in each building. - Middle School Behavior classroom:
Work intensively with 15 students, partnering with five classroom assistants to promote academic and behavioral success.
Experience:
- Valid and active Special Education teaching certification in Oregon is required.
- Experience working with students presenting behavioral, ASD, and communication needs is highly valued.
- Reference: Able to provide contact information for your most recent supervisor for consideration.
- Genuine passion for inclusive education, collaboration, and adaptability in dynamic school environments.
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate.
- Collaborate with support staff, assistants, and allied professionals.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school teams.
