Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for a dynamic educational community near Silverton, OR. This full-time, onsite role will run from ASAP through June 5, 2026, providing a vital service in shaping academic and behavioral success for students with diverse needs. Multiple positions are available across both elementary and middle school settings, each supported by experienced classroom assistants.

Current openings include:
  • Elementary Developmental Classrooms:
    Serve 15 students alongside 6 assistants, supporting behavioral, ASD, and communication needs.
  • Elementary Behavior Classroom:
    Work with 16 students (Grades 3-5) and 5 assistants, focusing on social-emotional skills and positive behaviors.
  • Middle School Resource:
    Guide 40 students with the assistance of 2 shared paraprofessionals, targeting academic progress and individualized learning goals.
  • Elementary Resource (2 Sites):
    Manage caseloads across two nearby sites, each with 35 students and a classroom assistant.
  • Middle School Behavior:
    Partner with 5 assistants in delivering behavioral interventions and academic support to 15 students.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Special Education certification/license in Oregon.
  • Ability to provide contact information for your most recent supervisory reference.
  • Experience working with children with behavioral, autism spectrum, communication, or learning challenges preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Commitment to onsite work and a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week).
