American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active or in-process Oregon RN license and 2 years of ER specialty experience.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Evening shift (3x12 hours, 15:00-03:30) or Day shift (3x12 hours, 12:00-00:30), subject to change based on patient arrival trends
- 13-week assignment length
- Work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required as needed outside of scheduled RTO, on a rotating schedule
- Floating within the site and across the health system required as requested
- Active Oregon RN license, or proof of Oregon license application with fingerprinting, required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of ER specialty experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or ATCN certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably from within the last year
- No felony convictions accepted
- Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation
- Must complete any assigned education within one week of starting the assignment
- Subject to low census mandatory cancellation policy, requiring cancellation notice at least 1.5 hours before shift start, up to one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- All compliance documentation must be completed prior to the Wednesday before the start date
- Required to complete an Epic Test-Out Module upon starting; failure to pass will result in a mandatory 8-hour Epic training course
- Former staff must be separated from the facility or system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidates may not reside within 50 miles of any facility within the health system
