This is a seasonal, in-person role. The position is part time March-May (hours varying from 10-20 hours a week) and becomes full time (approximately 35 hours a week) from June-August.
Salary: $17/hour
Primary Responsibilities- Registration and administration for Gan Alonim Day Camp. Learn to use Camp Minder, the cloud-based database that is an all-in-one platform for managing camper data as well as many day-to-day administrative camp functions.
- Process enrollment applications.
- Manage camper enrollment: make changes to enrolled campers days/weeks, track missed/sick days, and update the waiting list on a regular basis.
- Coordinate camper transportation sign-ups and appropriate charges.
- Prepare weekly enrollment summaries, forms, and paperwork for the day camp director.
- Collect, review and process required day camp forms.
- Communicate with parents on the phone and in email.
- Collect payments for camp tuition.
- When camp is in session: daily communication with the day camp director(s) regarding camper absences, travel arrangements, or other concerns as they arise.
- Other duties that may be assigned by the day camp director(s).
- Assistant to Camp Alonim’s Enrollment and Communications Manager:
Parent communication. - Assist with the collection, review and processing of required overnight camp forms.
- Help with check-in on Opening Day.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient with Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Office, Excel etc).
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service experience, in settings interacting with parents preferred.
- Prior experience working in a database preferred but not required.
- Discounts on day and overnight summer camp for camp-aged children.
- Lunch is provided daily during summer months when camp is in session.
- Work with a silly, fun, dedicated, and collaborative group of camp directors and administrators.
