Job Description – Camp Alonim

Job Title:

Gan Alonim Day Camp Registrar

Location:

Simi Valley, California

Hours:

This is a seasonal, in-person role. The position is part time March-May (hours varying from 10-20 hours a week) and becomes full time (approximately 35 hours a week) from June-August.

Salary: $17/hour

Primary Responsibilities
  • Registration and administration for Gan Alonim Day Camp. Learn to use Camp Minder, the cloud-based database that is an all-in-one platform for managing camper data as well as many day-to-day administrative camp functions.
  • Process enrollment applications.
  • Manage camper enrollment: make changes to enrolled campers days/weeks, track missed/sick days, and update the waiting list on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate camper transportation sign-ups and appropriate charges.
  • Prepare weekly enrollment summaries, forms, and paperwork for the day camp director.
  • Collect, review and process required day camp forms.
  • Communicate with parents on the phone and in email.
  • Collect payments for camp tuition.
  • When camp is in session: daily communication with the day camp director(s) regarding camper absences, travel arrangements, or other concerns as they arise.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the day camp director(s).
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assistant to Camp Alonim’s Enrollment and Communications Manager:
    Parent communication.
  • Assist with the collection, review and processing of required overnight camp forms.
  • Help with check-in on Opening Day.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Office, Excel etc).
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service experience, in settings interacting with parents preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a database preferred but not required.
