Space Vector Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate across multiple disciplines throughout all phases of product development and testing for key aerospace programs. Responsibilities include circuit design, analysis, board layout, hardware debugging, and testing, with a primary focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS) and related test equipment.

This position works with general oversight, may mentor junior engineers, and may manage large projects or processes within or beyond the immediate job area.

• Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate and integrate electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high-performance hardware systems.
• Determine design approaches and parameters. Analyze electrical requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• May use high level programming language to configure programmable logic devices.
• Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and evaluate results.
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and operational characteristics that may impact system performance and sustainability.
• May review vendor capability to support development.
• Apply specialized skill sets including digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, antenna, RF and control systems knowledge as required.
• May develop, design, and assess methodologies and performance of specialized algorithms for radar, communications, sonar, geophysical, and other sensor processing applications.

• Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of the job area and project management.
• Manage large, complex project initiatives with minimal oversight or direction.
• Communicate within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches.
• Provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans with measurable impact.

Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction. May provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within area of expertise. May manage large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams.

Communicates within and outside the organization including customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices and approaches. Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area. May conduct briefings with leaders.
