Parker Aerospace, Simi Valley, CA - Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering, through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing ending with delivery to the customers.

Parker Aerospace is a worldwide leader in multiple Commercial and Military Aerospace product lines including Fire and Smoke Detection and Extinguishing systems, Bleed Air Overheat detection systems, Actuators, Rudder Pedal Assemblies, Pumps, Fuel Gauging Systems, High-Temperature cables, and more.

Parker Aerospace, Simi Valley, CA - Fire, Safety, and Power Division is also a key supplier to select Energy markets including Nuclear gas Analyzers and Nuclear containment vessel penetration Cables. QUALITY ENGINEER

Position Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible to implement the Quality Management System to ensure delivered product is consistent with Parker's engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements and government and/or aviation regulations. The Quality Engineer 2 will provide Quality Engineering support for all Quality aspects of product realization including design controls, inspection plans, assembly process controls, test and delivery. Work collaboratively with functions of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Execute the development, implementation and the continued improvement of the Quality Management System for the assigned product lines.
  • Will work with internal Team Members and outside suppliers and customers. Will participate on and lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Evaluate and disposition non‑conforming material and customer returns in a timely manner. Work with supplier quality to put in place inspection plans for receiving inspection and suppliers. Ensure customer requirements are flown‑down to suppliers.
  • Effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to questions from Team Members, Suppliers and Customers.
  • Create compliance matrices for customer specifications, quality requirements, and contractual documents.
  • Author and tailor quality assurance plans.
  • Lead and support customer, internal and third‑party audits as required.
  • Collect data, establish facts, define problems, and perform problem solving activities for issues identified within our production processes.
  • Perform root cause investigations and identify corrective actions to reduce customer escapes, resolve customer complaints and reduce internal rejections.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Design Engineering to plan, review and implement product testing.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to solve fabrication problems as they arise.
