As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will also mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Be able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards.
• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE).

• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles.
• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience.

Location:

Starting pay is $35.00 – $36.00 USD hourly, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential, and may include additional earnings such as overtime pay and performance bonuses.
