The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:
- Lead the implementation of Prime OEM customer requirements and contract-specific quality clauses.
- Prepare for and participate in Prime OEM Audits and ensure the company is properly prepared for compliance
- Support and execute APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes across all relevant product launches and process changes.
- Drive the reduction of scrap and rework through root cause analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Standardize and optimize inspection techniques across machining, assembly, and supplier operations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to identify critical quality and process parameters.
The experience / qualifications required for the Quality Engineer role are:
- 1-3 years of experience in quality and manufacturing engineering
- Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation, and GD&T.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills using tools like 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
- Outgoing, friendly attitude with the ability to promote a culture of teamwork and empowerment.
