Human Resources Compliance Audit Specialist

Position Type: Temporary Contract (Approximately 1 Month)

Compensation: $50 per hour

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (On-site and Remote)

Location: Chatsworth, CA

We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Compliance Audit Specialist for a short-term contract assignment. This role will support the HR department by conducting a compliance documentation audit and organizing HR records within the company's shared drive to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and regulatory compliance.

• Conduct an audit of HR files to verify compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations
• Review employee records for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation
• Organize, rename, and structure HR files within the shared drive for consistent recordkeeping
• Identify missing or non-compliant documentation and prepare a summary of findings
• Collaborate with HR leadership to prioritize corrections and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Recommend improvements to file organization and document retention processes

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably in HR compliance, audits, or records management
• Strong understanding of HR documentation requirements and confidentiality standards
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with shared drives, document management systems, or HRIS platforms
• Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines

• Prior experience performing HR compliance audits
• Familiarity with employment record retention requirements and regulatory compliance standards

• Approximately 1-month assignment
• Hybrid schedule with some on-site presence required
