The Senior Product Test Technician performs a variety of complex tests and verifications on electro and electromechanical equipment. This role ensures accuracy, productivity, and on‑time delivery while supporting cross‑functional production needs.
Core Responsibilities- Perform a variety of moderately difficult to complex testing tasks.
- Set up test equipment and conduct tests per specification.
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of analog and digital circuitry malfunctions down to the component level.
- Provide detailed written failure descriptions and root cause analyses to production and engineering teams.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and uphold an acceptable safety record.
- Assist other departments with tasks across various production cells/locations.
- Train less experienced staff.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may require nights, weekends, variable schedules, or additional hours.
Education
- Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience. Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Years of
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and sketches.
- Skilled in the use of test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and electric soldering.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows software applications.
- Able to solve complex problems in atypical or infrequent situations using established procedures or scientific methods.
