CNC Machinist II - Lathe; medium - 2nd Shift

$25.00 to $31.00 per hour.

CNC Lathe machinist is responsible for producing work in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning specifications and requirements.

• Completes set‑ups with general supervision/assistance.
• Responsible for all phases of part operation set‑up to achieve first article acceptance.
• Performs and maintains accurate in‑process quality inspection and records.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements to reduce part quality variation.
• Continuously improves processes, procedures, and eliminates waste.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• At least three to five years experience in operation set‑up on CNC Lathe equipment.
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gauge, dial bore, and plate inspection methods for first article and in‑process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005") of 's, hold .0005 profile, roundness.
• Knowledge of cutting tools feeds, speeds, and inserts tool life for aerospace machining.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. (over 25 lbs. with assistance).
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
