Aerospace CNC Machinist III- 1st shift

Fully onsite role performed at the designated Regal Rexnord office.

$28 to $36. Several factors are considered when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, skills and education.

CNC Lathe machinist is responsible for producing work efficiently while meeting drawing/planning specifications. Under general supervision, set‑up, operates, and adjusts CNC Lathe machines. Works from drawings and written instructions to create parts, reads and interprets CNC programs, and may need to make offsets to programs on CNC machines. Requires knowledge of various metals and measurements used in machining. May assist and train less experienced machinists.

• Completes set‑ups with general supervision/assistance.
• Responsible for all phases of part operation set‑up to achieve first article acceptance.
• Performs and maintains accurate in‑process quality inspection and records.
• Identifies and recommends process improvements to reduce part quality variation.
• Inputs data into visual management forms and conveys results to management.
• Continuously improves processes, procedures, and eliminates waste.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• At least 3 years experience operating and set‑up on CNC lathes.
• Skilled in the use of indicator, gauge, dial bore, and plate inspection methods for first article and in‑process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005") of IDs and ODs, roundness, concentricity, squareness.
• Understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace hard turning or milling.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blueprints and quality requirements.
• Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance).
• Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
