Job Overview

Advanced Spectral Technology is seeking a Mechanical / Optical Assembly Technician to assemble precision inspection and measurement systems. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building high-quality equipment, works carefully, and takes pride in attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and optical components using engineering drawings and work instructions
• Install hardware, stages, cameras, lenses, sensors, and other system components
• Use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Assist with system testing and troubleshooting
• Report assembly issues or suggested improvements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow company quality and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly of precision equipment
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Experience with optical or electronic assemblies
• Experience working in a manufacturing or clean-room environment
