SummaryWe are looking for a compassionate and clinical Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our frontline team. In this role, you are the backbone of the detoxification process. Working under the Nurse Manager, you will ensure the highest standards of safety, comfort, and clinical excellence for clients navigating the critical early stages of withdrawal.
Schedule AvailabilityFriday, Saturday, Sunday: 7PM-7AM
Responsibilities- Clinical Intake: Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and intakes for new admissions.
- Withdrawal Management: Monitor vitals and withdrawal symptoms with precision, adhering to facility protocols to ensure client safety.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
- Collaborative Care: Work alongside Physicians, RNs, and Behavioral Health professionals to provide a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous, real-time nursing and medication records.
- Client Advocacy: Educate clients on the detox process and medications, fostering a therapeutic and supportive environment.
- Crisis Response: Act as a calm, decisive presence during medical emergencies, following all established safety procedures.
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered LVN License in the state of California.
- Certification: Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (Required).
- Specialization: Previous experience in detox, substance use disorders (SUD), or behavioral health settings is strongly preferred.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of withdrawal symptoms, detox protocols, and the nuances of treating individuals in crisis.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational expertise, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
